Howdy. I'm Cody Bunton, life-long resident of Northwest Arkansas. I am a licensed residential builder in the state of Arkansas, Realtor, draftsman, construction expert, and somehow I also have a degree in graphic design. Real Estate Design is what happens when all of that collides: it's how I get to love my neighbor and put roofs over heads for a living.

I spent a decade in the Walmart world as a digital and print creative, needed a break from screens, and wanted to work with my hands. I tried a new career path and fell in love with building homes my first week on the job. I've run my own construction crews and worked for builders both small and large over the past 15 years.

In all that time, I lost count of how many times it would've helped to have a house plan drafted by someone who's actually built the houses they design — someone who knows you can't run shower supply lines on a 2x4 exterior wall, or that an architect's stairs won't reach the second story if nobody bothered to swap those 12-inch joists for the real 16-inch truss height.

I earned a reputation solving problems everyone else walked away from in the field—the Winston Wolf for multiple builders, if you will. Eventually I realized it was time to employ my other skill set to stop the oversights before they happened. So here we are: I get to support the builder community, help put families in houses, and sneak away from the screen every now and then to go swing a hammer.
